214 Amnesty International: neutraal?

This blog:  http://tiny.cc/0f3xfw

Today Amnesty International released a report that  accuses only Assad's people for  atrocities in Syria.
Here is the report:
Deadly Reprisals. Deliberate killings and other abuses by Syria's Armed Forces

One of the main authors is Amnesty's  advisor, mrs Donatella Rovera.
Here she gives a summary of the report, on video.
Is Amnesty still reliable?
I know that their job is to fight against violence from governments, not against violence coming from rebels or other people.
But suppose the government is falsely accused, and the inittaitve for barbarism lies somewhere else, is it then just to choose sides against the government?

There are good reasons why I believe that Amnesty is 'taken over' by  the Powers that controle our Media and controle the American government.
Reason 1:
Amnesty USA has a new director: Suzanne Nossel. Read the blog below about her, to see her 'credentials'.
Reason 2:
I found a campaign on the Dutch website of Amnesty : they consider Assad the culprit. ( Amnesty)
Reason 3:
On a blog I read two reactions by Sonja, and they learned me that Amnesty  in Holland is clearly anti Iran and pro Israel:  ( Sonja , in Dutch)

Some criticism on " Deadly Reprisal"

Page 8.
Amnesty:"Most were executed in cold blood by men in military clothing, believed by the residents to be state armed militias."

My reply: We know now that in Houla the criminals who are 'believed' to be Assad's men, have killed  almost exclusively friends of Assad.  How remarkable. ( Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
Why does Rovera still blame Assad's people?
Did Amnesty never hear about what I call 'Men in Black" ?
It is an often used strategy to 'legitimise' what is called 'intervention for humane reasons', but always turns out to be very beneficial for the existing Power Elite and those who pushg the intervention. ( Engdahl

Page 8.
The government forces hold punitive raids.
"At times, these incursions/raids  came after attacks on government forces"

A government has the duty to keep the peace in the country and it has the right to use force. When it is attacked, reprisals using force  are the normal procedure.
It is not allowed to shoot at innocent people, but would innocent people walk on the streets ?
Shooting and killing peaceful protesters is not legitimate. And Rovero tells us that this is done by Assad. She shows protesters and then we hear gunshots and see people run away. But sofar I did not see any peoiple falling on the ground, as we see in videos from Israel and Bahrein.   So the gunshots can be innocent shooting in the air.

Page 8.
There are several stories about men that are taken away by soldiers and then shot dead and sometimes the corpses are burned.

A cruel thing to do. But some information is missing:
1. Who were the men who were killed?
They may even have been Alawi men!   ( Like in Houla)
2. Who were the perpetrators?  The may have been 'men in black' or rebels !  ( Lke in Racak )

Not long ago I saw a video where a man was buried alive, in Syria, supposedly by Assad's men.
But there were a few questions that  were not asked.
1. Why did the filming stop seconds after the face of the man was covered with sand?
( I think: to dig him up)
2. Why would Assad's men use such an elaborate way of killing someone?
3. Why would Assad's men video-tape it and put it on the internet?

I dont have time to read the whole report right now.  I just pick out a few pages.

 Page 18: Deliberate killings.
Rovera informs us that young men, some of them members of the opposition, were taken away and later were found shot.
Of course this was wrong.  People deserve a court and deserve justice.
But we may not forget that the rebels commit atrocities too, against civilians and against Assad's soldiers.
Then the army will try to find the culprits, and take revenge on them, without waiting for a court.
In Gaza the Israeli's killed 1400 people. Why ?  Because during 10  years time, 14 Israeli's were killed.  These Gazan people were killed without any court or justice too.  Collateral damage?  How can 14 deads ever legitimate 1400 collateral deads ??

Did Amnesty make reports on Gaza ?

My Conclusion.
- Amnesty International has a troubled past, a bad record ( see the article about mrs. Nossel below).
- They put all the blame exclusively on Assad,  and don't ever speak about the violence from the rebels.
- They seem to forget that it is a task of any government to defend its citizens against violence ( from other citizens), and that a government is entitled to use violence then.
So when rebels attack Alawi or Christians, the army should attack the rebels.

Let me have a closer look at the most publicised atrocity: the one at Houla.
Then I say:
Amensty's accusations are not falsifyable.
Why not? Because they say:  witnesses believed ....
It was not at all sure who were the murdereres.

Other sources have much more detailed information about Houla.
And: they give information that can be falsificated: they give the names of three families that were massacred in Houla.  All these victims were allies of Assad !
Why would the Army kill their own allies ?

Taken everything into consideration (evidence from many other sources) , I am convinced that Amnesty International is part of the Cabal that prepares the world for another killing, like we have seen in Libya.

          ===============================================
Since the beginning of this year Amnesty International USA has a new general director in the person of Suzanne Nossel. Something which has raised serious eyebrows with those people who take human rights seriously.
On the website of Amnesty International they proudly present her nomination en show here previous professional career. And that’s no minor one but one who clearly shows that Amnesty International USA is in good hands now, being those of the establishment in Washington.
Previously she worked as a deputy Assistant Secretary for International Organizations at the State Department under Hillary Clinton. Here under Barack Obama she was partly responsible for policies regarding Syria, Libya, Iran and Ivory Coast. Remember, Ivory Coast was where the French with NATO assistance created a civil war and helped a friend of French President Nicolas Sarkozy to power.
And regarding Iran, it was under Barack Obama that the country no longer was allowed to import radio isotopes crucial for cancer treatments in its hospitals. Meaning Suzanne Nossel cooperated on a policy leading to mass murder.
Previously under President Bill Clinton she was involved in the policies regarding Bosnia and Kosovo. Kosovo is this US created Balkan republic whose head was according to many witnesses involved in among others mass murder and the theft of human organs.
According to this biography of Suzanne Nossel placed on Amnesty International USA’s website she invented the term ‘smart power’, a term used by the USA to define how it projects its imperialism worldwide, not with military means but with money politics, political agitation, sabotage and terrorism.
It’s a system whereby the USA no longer uses the military but works through so-called color revolutions to install vassals worldwide like in Georgia, Serbia and for a time Ukraine. It’s the new type of coups the CIA previously used in Chili, Guatemala and Iran.
She previously also had topjobs working for the Wall Street Journal and think thanks like The Century Foundation, The Center for American Progress and the Council on Foreign Relations. All of them institutions who always stood in front to defend the business interests of the US. Organisations also that always defended Israel and resulted in policies with millions of death and sometimes organized famine.
In the past Amnesty International has already been severely criticized for its reports and statements regarding the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, the Hmong in Laos and recently the civil war in Syria. In those cases it put forward one-sided opinions even supporting groups responsible for gross human rights abuses.
For instance from 1979 until 1989 AI refused to criticize the US-backed Khmer Rouge and its partners although they grossly abused the people under their control. Instead, it focused al its mud slinging on the Cambodian government trying to defend the people against the Khmer Rouge.
And during the last weeks AI produced reports blaming only the government of Syrian President Bashar Al Assad for all that is going wrong in the country. A repeat of the previous policies AI pursued regarding Libya.
The fact that the Washington establishment has been able to take over AI USA and the fact AI USA seems proud of the involvement of her new general director in US imperialism is shocking. The masks are really falling off these days.
The symbol of AI is a burning candle surrounded by barbed wire. This barbed wire now turns out to be coming from Guantanamo with the burning candle one of the instruments used to torture people there.
One in the future therefore can expect more reports coming from Amnesty International on Syria, China, Russia, Venezuela, Iran and anyone who stands in the way of an American imperialism that these days seems to be going mad. Reports about Uganda, Rwanda, Singapore, the USA, Saudi-Arabia or Israel will be much fewer.
One can indeed not serve at the same time the interests of people’s human rights and American imperialism.
Willy Van Damme  ( 24 march 2012)

Note:
Amnesty is a huge organisation and its wonderful goals will always attract do-gooders.
--I am not using the term in  a sarcastic way. I consider myself a do-gooder. I am sure there is nothing wrong with trying to make the world a better place --
So a lot of Amnesty personnel are surely doing the right thing.
I at least, have no reason to doubt the Amnesty report that came out in june last year, in  which two Amnesty people, who had lived and investigated in Libya, told the world that they had found no trace of the use of rape or viagra by Ghadaffi. ( NZHerald)
Note 2:  I must say that this report on Libya is partly done by the same mrs Rovera, the one of whom I think today that she is unfair to the Syrian government.
